Common Questions

What are your rates?

Our rates for individuals are $100 per initial intake and $80 per follow-up session which lasts 50-60 minutes. Because we believe in our mission to the Warfighter and Veteran communities, our posted rates reflect a 40% discount for our services making access to care extremely competitive and comprehensive for military, veterans, first responders, teachers and their immediate families. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, most major credit cards, and most HSA or FSA cards. If you have any questions, contact us directly.

Do you take insurance?

We are not an in-network provider for any insurance company. We can give you a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please consult with your insurance provider if you are considering reimbursement. We cannot guarantee anything on behalf of your carrier.

What if I don't show up?

We require that you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. There is a $95 fee if you fail to give notice before 24 hours. This allows other clients the opportunity to book an appointment for the same time if they are trying to come in the same day.

Where are you located?

Azimuth Christian Counseling is located in Hill Country, 40 mins outside of Austin, Texas. As our practice utilizes and favors Telehealth Sessions, we are happy to take on clients nationwide. This allows us to pass on significant savings to you as there is no overhead or office costs at this time. If you are in the Texas Hill Country Area (Austin, Lake Travis, Llano, Lampasas, Killeen or Horseshoe Bay) and choose to meet in person, our Holistic Spiritual Care services offer unique face-to-face treatment options. We would be happy to schedule those with treatment plan approval. You can learn more about those follow-up appointment options here

What issues do you provide counseling for?

We provide counseling for adults, teens, pastors, families, and couples. Our clinicians specialize in working with adults, teens, and couples, including those struggling with PTSD, trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, addiction, stress, burnout, self-esteem, grief, anger, relationship issues, communication, parenting, premarital, marital issues and divorce issues.

I've never been to counseling, what is it like?

Our goal is to make you feel at ease and comfortable enough to talk about what's on your mind. In the first session, we'll have you share your story. If you're dealing with difficult emotions, you will be encouraged to talk them out so we can discover where they are coming from. We typically assign homework, as well as a book recommendation or two to help you in your introspection beyond our sessions together. Our goal is to equip you in your walk with God and others so you can find healing, hope, and breakthrough in your life.
